Best Buddies Art + Friendship Auction
Raises Nearly $1 Million for Charity

Last night, Best Buddies International and The Brant Foundation hosted the Best Buddies Art + Friendship Auction, to benefit Best Buddies International. The live auction, hosted by Sara and Ugo Colombo at their beautiful bayside estate, raised almost $1 million. Best Buddies, founded by Anthony Shriver, works to create employment and leadership opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Before the auction began poolside, guests were shown a heart-warming video of several successful Best Buddies partnerships. It’s no surprise the auction, led by Gabriela Palmieri, Senior Vice President Senior Specialist Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s was such a success.
Guests included Leonardo DiCaprio, Val Kilmer, Samantha Boardman & Aby Rosen, Eva & Michael Chow, Michaela & Simon de Pury, Kyle DeWoody, Barbara Gladstone & Max Falkenstein, Anne Pasternak, and Vito Schnabel, among other guests.
