Nami Nori Debuts Two New Restaurants in the Design District Alongside Pharrell Williams
Nami Nori has been consistently lauded as one of New York’s finest temaki restaurants, with inspired offerings ranging from coconut shrimp to fried oysters. The eatery officially arrived in Miami on December 2, with a new location in the Design District as well as a new Japanese omakase concept called Matsuyoi. Designed to complement one another, the restaurants are situated within a bi-level space. They also mark the first projects the team has worked on with Pharrell Williams, who joined the team this year as a partner and advisor. Timed to the start of Art Basel, the opening welcomed hospitality icons Simon Kim and Enrique Olvera and artist Lee Quiñones.
Ray’s Hometown Bar Toasts to Its Miami Arrival With Dinner at Broken Shaker
Rays Hometown Bar—the divey bar from Authentic Hospitality, backed by Justin Theroux and Nicholas Braun—has expanded from New York to Miami. On December 2, guests went to Broken Shaker to enjoy an intimate dinner prepared by Authentic’s culinary partners and Michelin-starred chefs, Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske Valtierra—the disruptive geniuses behind concepts including Wildair, Bar Contra, and Brass. After dinner, guests headed next door to the newest iteration of Ray’s to drink cocktails and celebrate the bar’s official opening.
WOAH Debuts Curated Dinner Series With EDITION Hotels
Timed to coincide with Art Basel, the female-founded art and culture firm WOAH (Work of Art Holding) officially debuted its partnership with EDITION Hotels at the group’s Miami property on December 5. Artist’s Table takes the form of a curated dinner series, pairing internationally acclaimed artists with celebrated chefs. The collaboration will comprise immersive experiences across EDITION’s various properties worldwide. For the premiere event, Cuban artist José Parlá showcased a moving collection of new and old works and a site-specific mural. Miami-born Chef Eileen Andrade also presented a one-of-a-kind menu which blended Cuban and Asian flavors.
Kohler and Remedy Place Unveil a Luxury Ice Bath at The Miami Beach EDITION
From December 2 to 6, Kohler and Remedy Place partnered to host an immersive pop-up at The Miami Beach EDITION. The activation marked the first time guests could try the Kohler x Remedy Place Ice Bath, a state-of-the-art experience equipped with precision temperature control, ergo-dynamic body positioning, and a UV-powered filtration system. Guided breathwork, live music, and wellness-enhancing food and beverages rounded out the event’s offerings, making for a calming refuge from the craziness of Art Basel.
