Last Sunday night, Project Perpetual hosted a dinner and live auction to benefit the United Nations Foundation’s Shot@Life campaign, which provides children from around the world with life-saving vaccines. Project Perpetual is a new initiative that works alongside contemporary artists to produce works for auction to benefit children at risk.
Their inaugural event, held at the Four Seasons Restaurant, raised over $5.5 million in funds through ten lots of new works created by Jeff Koons using Hermes Birkin bags donated by the likes of Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, Naomi Campbell, and Sofia Coppola amongst others. Simon de Pury led the live auction that was followed by a surprise performance by Mary J. Blige.
