For this week’s Brand New, we’re showing you the latest from brands like Alice + Olivia, Montblanc, and Assouline.
Stacey Bendet’s label Alice + Olivia has partnered with the Keith Haring Foundation for an artistic capsule collection. Available today, the line of ready-to-wear pieces and accessories was inspired by the pops of color she included in Resort 2019, which reminded her of Haring’s work. In addition to the artist’s inspiring work, Bendet was also impacted by his advocation for social causes and felt that it was the perfect time to debut pieces in support of this. The collection shows Haring’s dancing figures on cardigans, tees, ball gown skirts, booties, a leather jacket, a reversible bomber, and a clutch. For the new line, a patchwork print also makes its debut on a denim jacket, a denim skirt, and jeans.

For its Fall 2018 “Legends” collection, Assouline has released its newest book entitled New York by New York. The gorgeous table book, written by Wendell Jamieson with a foreword by Jay McInerney, is a tribute to the city’s dynamic and unique DNA. Accompanying the text are some of the most iconic images from New York City’s livelihood, including photographs from Broadway, Studio 54, and the ever-changing skyline. Available now, the book is both a testament of creative times and a work of art.
After two years of designing luxury sports bags for women, handbag label Caraa has launched a men’s capsule collection. In addition to the ultra-cool Romulus backpack and the Remus duffel, the other ultra-lightweight bags shine with details like silver-infused lining to prevent staining, organizational features on the inside, and separate compartments for items like power banks, laptops, and footwear. Our favorite for the upcoming holidays is the bright red sling bag.

Montblanc has unveiled its newest offering with a sleek backpack created in collaboration with MR PORTER. Designed for the urban adventurer, the limited-edition piece is made of black Saffiano leather with the brand’s signature logo and three-stripe motif embossment on the front. Expandable pockets and an external compartment allow for extra essentials, while special details like external headphone holes provide contemporary convenience.
Frapin’s most recent release, a vintage from 1988, is now on ever spirit aficionado’s wish-list. The limited-edition cognac, made solely from Ugni Blanc from the South-Eastern Champagne region, has been monitored by the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac (BNIC)—guaranteeing authenticity for taste and quality that took over 25 years to create.
