For this week’s Brand New, we’re showing you new releases from brands like Audemars Piguet, Assouline, and Hennessy.
Audemars Piguet has introduced the Limited Edition Royal Oak Frosted Gold—a 37mm timepiece created in collaboration with Italian jewelry designer Carolina Bucci. Meant to reflect the contemporary woman, the frosted yellow gold wristwatch features a simple linked band with a striking mirrored face, making it a sophisticated and stylish companion for everyday wear.
Assouline’s newest release Rolex: The Impossible Collection is sure to make any SIHH attendee happy. This collectible volume, written by specialist Fabienne Reybaud, covers over 100 years of horological milestones achieved by the brand, featuring a number of exceptional “first” timepieces, from the first wristwatch to the first waterproof watch and beyond.
Annoushka has launched a collaboration with The Vampire’s Wife—a playful and unconventional take on the classic charm bracelet based on Susie Cave’s favorite Nick Cave songs. Available for the first time in the United States at Dover Street Market New York, the collection features 18 carat gold charms with precious stone details depicting shapes and objects like a cloud with a lightning bolt, a tiny ship, and a glittering set of vampire’s teeth.
Clos19 and designer Max Poglia joined together for a limited-edition gift set of barware accessories. The perfect gift for your favorite party host, the set features a handcrafted artisan corkscrew, a mini pocket knife, and a small wax candle—a unique addition that can be used as a wax seal on letters or on a bottle by using the monogram end of the corkscrew—composed of natural materials that are made to age gracefully and develop character over time.
Hennessy’s latest V.S. Collector’s Edition is a collaboration with Portuguese street artist, Vhils—an extension of his recent collaboraiton with the brand. Using the signature techniques he’s applied to his billboard portraits, the artist features a special edition bottle with his work-in-progress aesthetic wherein several layers of resin have been applied and peeled, revealing the Hennessy bottle underneath a collage of colorful brand emblems.
Rizzoli’s latest release, Daniel Arsham, is an inside look at artist Daniel Arsham’s work, which often features objects that appear to have eroded over time, creating immersive aesthetic experiences. Written collectively by Virgil Abloh, Hans Ulrich Obrist, and Steven Matijico the book includes a discussion on Arsham’s contribution to a post-media artistic landscape—a thread birthed from a conversation with the artist that follows art-historical precedents and an analysis of his projects and collaborations.
