In this week’s edition of Brand New, we’re looking at the latest releases from names like Audette, Zoë Chicco, and more.
Aude Jan and Charles Gout’s brand Audette will satisfy all your modern handbag dreams with its latest releases. Handmade in Mexico City using luxurious Italian leather, the designs include a series of geometric silhouettes like the half-circle Nuit and Mini Nuit purses; the Oval bag in color options like olive and cream or black and camel; and the Acapulco, which features a bag-inside-a-bag bucket style.

The latest installation in Zoë Chicco’s “20×20” anniversary collaborations is an earring designed by Rachel Pally. Drawing inspiration from the colors of Pally’s recent collection, the collaboration features a simple and beautiful pair of opal studs with dainty dangling chains, each ending in a dropped pearl and diamond. Proceeds from the collaboration will benefit Black Mamas Matter Alliance.
Last month, Main Street Tavern opened for business in Amagansett, NY with a menu of American cuisine and an extensive bar program. Making its debut with options for takeout and outdoor dining, the spot (previously the Indian Wells Tavern) welcomes guests to a neutral beachy façade and seasonal and savory dishes by Executive Chef Anand Sastry and Chef de Cuisine Yusuf Lovett. In the coming months, the tavern’s charming Ronen Lev-designed interiors will open its seats for brunch, lunch, and dinner—health and safety guidelines allowing.

Venezuelan rum brand Santa Teresa 1796’s limited-edition 1796 Crafted Together bottle has launched for the benefit of bartenders around the world. In celebration of National Rum Day last week, the brand invited 25 bartenders to collaborate on a new label for the bottle, providing compensation in a time when work is scarce. In addition, Santa Teresa is contributing $10,000 to the USBG National Charity Foundation’s Bartender Emergency Assistance Program.
Along with the launch of its new e-commerce platform, Air Company has shocked the beverage industry with its Air Vodka. Created along the guise of luxury items that are responsibly made, Air Vodka is made from only two ingredients—carbon dioxide and water. Complete with minimalist packaging to mimic purity of its creation, the brand’s special distillation process creates ethanol from carbon in the air, producing the world’s first carbon-negative spirit while removing carbon from the air.

In a quest to bring beauty into our daily lives, Diptyque has introduced two new collections. The first, “Un Air de diptique,” features five methods of bringing scent into a room through objects like an hourglass and plug-in diffuser. Entitled “Decoration,” the second collection is comprised of ornamental pieces for the home including candles, vases, notepads, and (our favorite) a set of candle holders that mimic melted wax, inspired by Osanna Visconti’s childhood in Rome.
