For this week’s Brand New, we’re looking at the latest from names like Fendi, YOOX, Master & Dynamic, and more.
Fendi’s new capsule collection with Mr. Doodle applies the London-based illustrator’s black marker drawings to a selection of designs, including women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories. Launched ahead of Chinese Valentine’s Day on August 25, the collection features items in a predominately black and white palette, with artist’s signature doodles and touches of red and yellow—like the Peekaboo Iconic bag, Nano Baguette bag, and a pair of silk printed trousers.
YOOX’s “Ciao Italia!” collection takes us on a virtual getaway, split into four parts. Experience the perfect Italian vacation wherever you may be with: elegant beachwear in Dolce Far Niente; tableware and hand painted ceramics in Buon Appetito; lightweight apparel in Al Mercato; and a selection of dresses and accessories for a lively night out in Ferragosto. All styles evoke the historic traditions and quality of craft made in Italy.
Iconic streetwear and top-quality technology collide in Master & Dynamic’s new collaboration with BAPE, featuring an exclusive series of limited-edition headphones. With the help of brand partner Kevin Durant, the Tokyo-based streetwear house has transformed Master & Dynamic’s MW65 Active Noise-Cancelling Headphones and its MW07 PLUS True Wireless Earphones in two colorways—BAPE’s beloved ABC CAMO and a new Studio 35 orange camouflage.
Sister-owned jewelry house Carbon and Hyde’s new “Chain Link” collection brings a raw edge to traditions of fine jewelry. Elevated and diverse, the new designs include a series of gold and diamond rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces that can easily accompany you from desk to dinner party. Our choice pairing is the yellow gold Oval Link bracelet with a pair of Gold Dome hoops.
Jemma Wynne’s latest jewelry collection pays homage to the past, highlighting chunky yellow gold designs reminiscent of styles prominent in the 1970s. Thick bands and chains lay the foundation for a selection of rings, bracelets, necklaces, and stand-alone pendants. Motifs like stars and hearts catch the eye with tiny diamond inlays and large, colorful accent stones. Pieces we’re loving include the gold and diamond moon pendant and the open ring with an emerald and two pear-shaped diamonds.
The release of S.R. Studio’s latest collection is an excitement fo fashion patrons and art lovers alike. For the release, artist Sterling Ruby has introduced a selection of pieces featuring three motifs—an abstracted hand-dyed print, a heat-transfer technique, and a tie-dye applied to black material. Highlight styles include a hand-dyed maxi skirt and an overcoat with transferred imagery of a car and a graphic reading “sick from you.”
