This week’s edition of Brand New brings details on releases like Fendi’s collaboration with RIMOWA, Off-White’s “Sound Engineering” collection with Pioneer DJ, Chanel’s new boutique in Washington, D.C., and more.

As travel slowly becomes part of our lives once again, Fendi’s collaboration with RIMOWA is one you won’t want to miss. A Classic Cabin style imagined in the signature RIMOWA aluminum, this elegantly durable luggage piece comes in either black or natural aluminum, which has been brushed with the Fendi FF logo and is outfitted with luxurious black Cuoio Romano leather handles on the top and sides.

Off-WhiteMusic and fashion collide in this one-of-a-kind collaboration between Virgil Abloh’s Off-White and AlphaTheta Corporation’s sound label Pioneer DJ. Titled “Sound Engineering,” the highlight of the capsule is a limited run of the DDJ-1000-OW mixing board, which sees the technicalities of the brand’s controller painted with a white and orange take on the fashion label’s codes. The collaboration also features a suite of clothing (including jackets, sweatshirts, pants, a pleated skirt, and more) in a palette of black, white, and green, which has a specially designed label juxtaposing the Off-White logo with a curling script that reads “Sound Engineering.”

Summer coming to a close doesn’t mean your eyewear accessorizing has to end. With Chanel’s recently released Fall 2021 eyewear, you can continue to keep stylish through the cooler seasons. Choose from a selection of chic styles—like three metal frame options of round, cat eye, or aviator frames—and a selection of oversized styles in black or tortoiseshell acetate, including a hexagonal, square, and round silhouette.

Also new from Chanel is a new boutique in Washington, D.C. within CityCenterDC. Opened last month, the space is an 8,000-square-feet shopping destination conceived by Peter Marino, hosting an entire collection of the brand’s offerings, from ready-to-wear and watches to handbags and beauty. The space is a luxurious blend of classic and modern—from the sleek, white tile façade to an elevated interior outfitted with touches like a gold mirror from Curtis Jeré, Coco Chanel prints by Louis Ellis, and handblown glass vases from Black Belt by Peter Marino.

Lexus has invited the footwear designer Salehe Bembury to create a series of designs in collaboration with the sportswear brand Champion. Combining the automobile brand’s innovation, Bembury’s love for nature, and a series of the label’s classic streetwear silhouettes, the resulting capsule is a grayscale selection of hoodies, tees, and hats, which have been created using hand-painted dyes and a special logo and graphics by Bembury.

Complete your wardrobe for next year ahead of schedule with a first look at Berluti’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection. Stylish yet casual, the modern menswear silhouettes include a series of easygoing garments in a palette earthy tones like petrol blue, rust, orange, and beige. A variation on the house’s Scritto motif sees the abstracted pattern—once calligraphed on leather goods—enlarged as all-over prints, while accessories like handbags, briefcases, and footwear have not been overlooked. Our favorite looks include a beach-ready printed short and shirt pairing, and a smart ensemble combining trousers, a patterned bomber, and sneakers.

The Stockholm-based accessory brand CHIMI has invited the artist Sophy Hollington to contribute her aesthetic to the latest iteration of its Lab collaboration series. Channeling figures from a Tarot deck, the “Arcana” collection features three eyewear styles in three rich colors named for The Fool, The High Priestess, and The Magician. Available in red, black, and green, the retro-looking shades include a rounded cat eye, a square, and a rectangular shape, which each come with a special edition card, designed by Hollington to match its corresponding character.

TomasThose recently engaged will find Tomasz Donocik’s “Moderne Bridal” collection a new reason to say “I do.” The Art Deco-inspired jewels feature shapes synonymous with the architecture of the roaring twenties, glittering with stones like white diamonds, black diamonds, and emeralds. Including solo pieces and glamorous pairings of engagement rings and wedding bands, a few of our favorites are the emerald and diamond Pleat ring with the zig-zag band, the glittering Diadem ring, and the white gold Grand Tiara set, which has a shape that reminds us of the top of the Chrysler Building.
