This week in Brand New, we’re taking a look at new releases like Polaroid’s latest publication, Renna’s signet ring, and Andrea Iyamah’s bucket hat design for Plume & Petal.

New from Polaroid is a book by Chronicle Chroma titled Polaroid Now: The History and Future of Polaroid Photography. Highlighting contemporary artists that captured images with Polaroid film and cameras, photo buffs and art lovers alike will enjoy this selection of more than 200 images and history on how the brand became a household name. The perfect addition to your coffee table collection, the book features images by renowned names like David Hockney, Chuck Close, and Andy Warhol, along with words from Steve Crist and the brand’s CEO Oskar Smolokowski.

The Looking Glass ring from the jewelry brand Renna is a keepsake that can be passed down for generations. Available in 18-karat white, rose, or yellow gold, the signet ring features a magnifying glass window that reveals an enamel background (customizable in foam, sunset, or black midnight enamel) etched with your monogram of choice.

Plume & Petal invited the designer Andrea Iyamah to imagine a new take on the classic bucket hat in honor of its new collection of Spritz cocktail cans. Looking to the vibrant aesthetic of the canned cocktails (which come in refreshing flavors like cucumber, peach, and lemon), Iyamaha’s fruit-filled design features a carrying strap and a waterproof insert, allowing the accessory to double as a chilled carrier for your favorite beverage.

Paintru was founded by the husband-and-wife duo JD and Liza Kameen to better connect artists and commissioners around the world. Recently, it refreshed its online hub to better support artists and those looking for one-of-a-kind painted works. Its virtual platform with user-friendly revisions offers a place for patrons to upload photos, match with an artist, and review progress—all before receiving the custom piece.

The Alabama-based designer Billy Reid has created a special sweatshirt design for its nearby ShoalsFest music, taking place October 2 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. A music festival for the benefit of the cultural Muscle Shoals Music Foundation, the sweatshirt (a chocolate crewneck reading “Muscle Shoals Sound” in white letterman print) will give back ten percent of its net proceeds to the nonprofit.

A collaboration between the hatmaker Nick Fouquet and the menswear label Federico Curradi brings a stylish hybrid of Californian style and Italian taste. Made from quality materials like shearling wool, these classic headwear staples have been embellished with details like ties, feathers, and charms—like our favorite rust-hued fedora with a cream-colored band.

Ylang 23’s “23 Muses” collection debuted with AZLEE, launching with a series of three coins celebrating Mother Earth and mothers everywhere. Including a total of 23 pieces, the debut charms have been imagined in yellow gold and include a coin featuring: Hera, the goddess and protector of women; an ancient Greek dove celebrating Mother Nature; and a fertility amulet, which can be worn solo or together on a necklace or chain of your choice.

Olfactory masters Malin + Goetz have re-released its once sold-out Strawberry eau de parfum. Harnessing the delightful nature of the garden strawberry, the unisex fragrance is packaged in a clear glass bottle, combining notes of pink pepper, bergamot, jasmine petals, warm musk, and orris root.
