As the holiday gifting season grows near, we’re taking a look at the latest from names like Uniqlo and JW Anderson, FUTURA2000 and Rizzoli, Jade Trau’s “Victoria” collection, and more.
Rizzoli recently released a book with the artist FUTURA2000 entitled FUTURA: The Artist’s Monograph. For the most detailed survey of the pioneering graffiti artist’s life and career yet, the book lends a look at the inspirations behind his work and an overview of the evolution of his practice. The publication features elements like personal photography, never-before-published reproductions of early work, and interviews with names like Takashi Murakami, Virgil Abloh, and Jeffrey Deitch.
Uniqlo’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection in collaboration with JW Anderson was designed around the idea of updating the classic British wardrobe for the current day. Including a selection for children and adults, the collection features a palette of earth tones seen across pieces like plaid overcoats, knit sweaters, classic pea coats, jogger pants, Oxford button down tops, and more.
Bang & Olufsen’s “Golden” collection is ideal for the audio buff whose eye for aesthetics is as particular as their ear. Encompassing the Danish audio brand’s favorite products, the collection includes sound accessories like the Beoplay A9 home speaker, the Beoplay H95 headphones, and the Beolab 90 loudspeaker updated with a light, warm palette and special materials like golden-hued aluminum, genuine lambskin, Carrara marble, and solid oak.
Jade Trau’s new “Victoria” collection features sophisticated build-it-yourself charms and chains for personalized gifts. Approaching fine jewelry with a playful attitude, the designer draws from her love for Victorian jewelry in this selection of wearable mementos. Included in “Victoria” are a series of earrings and charms that can be added to necklaces or bracelets, including symbols like letters, zodiac signs, and spiritual icons.
Lafayette 148 New York has partnered with God’s Love We Deliver for a holiday season gifting initiative that gives back. From December 1–14, shoppers who purchase from the brand’s special gift guide (hand-curated by Creative Director Emily Smith) will donate 20 percent of their purchase to the non-profit. The guide features luxury womenswear and accessories including pieces like an Italian Nappa leather pochette clutch, lacquered stackable bracelets, and cashmere sweaters.
Jewelry house Moritz Glik’s “Apura” collection combines unexpected shapes, optical illusions, and youthful sophistication. Imagined in combinations like gold and rubies, or palladium gray gold with blue sapphires, each design features a tiny kaleidoscope shaker filled with minuscule glittering gemstones. Our favorite is the Corda necklace, which is composed of a black diamond set chain and a white sapphire capsule filled with rubies.
Designed in New York and produced in Portugal and Italy, Paradis Perdus is making a name for itself in sustainable fashion. The brand aims be transparent in its sustainability journey by creating garments from 100 percent recycled yarn and taking other steps to reduce its environmental footprint. The latest collection features knits in a palette of black, gray, red, white, and blue, like a color-blocked jersey sweater, a fisherman knit tunic, and a pair of cozy pants with a drawstring waist.
For the month of November, Temple St. Clair is donating 20 percent of sales made online to the Big Life Foundation in support of the protection of the land that makes up East Africa’s Kilimanjaro ecosystem. In commemoration of the partnership, the jewelry designer has re-released a limited-edition of an archival design—a lion ring, which is made of gold and encircled with a ring of tiny pave diamonds.
