On January 7, Chanel returned to one of Los Angeles’s most storied addresses, Chateau Marmont, for an intimate yet electric evening celebrating its Coco Crush Fine Jewelry collection and newly appointed ambassador Gracie Abrams. Part dinner party, part campaign immersion, the night unfolded as a living expression of Coco Crush itself—graphic yet fluid, glamorous yet grounded, and designed to move effortlessly through modern life.
Set along Sunset Boulevard, the celebration transformed the Chateau into a jewel-toned playground inspired by the new Coco Crush campaign, which was shot on location. Guests wandered through reimagined rooms and interactive photo moments, each echoing the collection’s signature quilted motif. The atmosphere struck a balance between Hollywood intimacy and Parisian polish—less red carpet, more insider energy.
Coco Crush: Heritage Reimagined

At the heart of the evening was Coco Crush’s evolving design language. Inspired by the House’s iconic quilted motif—an emblem of Chanel since 1955, rooted in the horse blankets and jockey jackets admired by Gabrielle Chanel—the collection balances strength and softness with graphic precision. First introduced in 2015, Coco Crush translated this heritage into sculptural rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces carved in gold.
Ten years on, the collection enters a new chapter defined by fluidity and movement. Chokers and short necklaces sit close to the skin, cuffs assert sculptural confidence, and two-tone beige and white gold earrings invite playful mixing and matching. Full pavé bracelets capture and reflect light, reinforcing Coco Crush as jewelry designed to live, move, and evolve with its wearer.
This spirit was embodied by Abrams, whose understated confidence aligns seamlessly with the collection’s ethos. She joins fellow ambassador Jennie Kim in a playful new campaign built around a “Hike & Seek” game—celebrating chance encounters, intersecting paths, and the energy that emerges when creativity collides. The campaign film will be revealed on January 13 at Chanel.com.

The guest list reflected the evening’s cultural breadth, bringing together actors, musicians, filmmakers, and tastemakers. Among those in attendance were Sarah Pidgeon, Connor Storrie, Rebecca Armstrong, Tessa Thompson, Audrey Nuna, Lily Allen, Keri Russell, Dakota Fanning, Griff, Gabbriette, Maggie Rogers, Conan Gray, St. Vincent, Mona Tougaard, Melina Matsoukas, PinkPantheress, Petra Collins, Quenlin Blackwell, Devon Lee Carlson, and Margaret Zhang, among many others.
As dinner gave way to late-night conversation, the evening reached its crescendo with a surprise performance by Lily Allen, who treated guests to songs from her newest album, West End Girl. Against the Chateau’s dimly lit interiors, the performance felt spontaneous and personal—a fitting close to a night defined by meaningful encounters.
With Coco Crush, Chanel once again affirmed jewelry as something lived-in rather than locked away—essential pieces that move with the body, speak softly yet boldly, and reinvent themselves over time. At Chateau Marmont, that philosophy felt entirely at home.

Beyond the jewelry itself, the night felt carefully tuned to Chanel’s idea of modern luxury—personal, intimate, and experiential. Tables glowed with candlelight, conversation flowed easily between creatives from different disciplines, and the rhythm of the evening unfolded without urgency. Fashion, music, film, and art mingled naturally, reflecting Coco Crush’s philosophy of pieces designed for real life rather than formal occasion alone. Guests layered chokers with tailored jackets, mixed metals with ease, and treated fine jewelry as something expressive and instinctive.
As the night stretched on, Chateau Marmont revealed itself as more than a backdrop—it became part of the narrative. Long associated with artistic freedom and after-hours creativity, the landmark mirrored Coco Crush’s own balance of edge and elegance. In celebrating its latest campaign here, Chanel underscored a simple but powerful idea: that jewelry, like the most memorable nights, is meant to be lived in—marked by movement, connection, and moments that linger well after the lights dim.
