For the sixth time, Chopard is supporting the bi-annual Only Watch charity auction by donating its new creation, the Superfast 8 Hz Power Control Porsche 919 Only Watch 2017. This one-of-a-kind model has been specially created for the charity that benefits the Association Monégasque Contre Les Myopathies. Chopard’s model honors Jacky Ickx, a former race driver, and reflects the values shared by Ickx, Porsche Motorsports, and Chopard.
The Superfast 8 Hz Power Control Porches 919 Only Watch 2017 is powered by calibre 01.11-M. The caliber operates at an astonishing 8 Hz instead of the traditional 4 Hz. This high frequency enables greater precision and faster resumption incase of disturbance. The dial is layered in sapphire crystal which delivers a 60-hour power reserve. A rare achievement, the watch was certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute).
