2013 has been a year of anniversaries for Chopard, and the company has celebrated by providing their customers with even more lavish offerings. To mark the 20th anniversary of the brand’s classic Happy Sport timepiece, the well-loved wristwatch has been introduced in an automatic version for the first time.
Chopard also celebrated the 66th-anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival by designing a 66-piece Red Carpet Collection inspired by old Hollywood glamour and the poise, grace and beauty of women who walk the red carpet. This one-of-a-kind fine jewelry collection was designed and approved by the co-president of the company, and while Canne was this years focus, there was also a special underlying theme; love.
Drawing inspiration from all things romantic, the collection is full of warm colors and whimsical designs. To provide options for every customer, pieces in the collection were also split between a classic, demure aesthetic and more striking avant-garde designs. Utilizing materials like diamond, sapphire, ruby and a stunning 54 carat emerald in the case of one piece, one will also notice the collection seems to take a certain amount of inspiration from nature, with pieces like the fox and shiitake mushroom ring’s being commonplace.
