Clase Azul Mexico Takes Tequila to DUMBO
On July 24 in Brooklyn, New York, Clase Azul Mexico hosted an invitation-only fiesta in celebration of National Tequila Day. Held at the luxury brand’s reticent Clase Azul Loft in DUMBO, the exclusive soiree celebrated the spirit industry’s momentous day with a culturally immersive experience. It was here that special visitors explored the esteemed brand’s history, tradition, and prized culture of tequila-making through an array of enveloping atmospheres.

An Immersive Environment Complemented by Clase Azul Tequila Categories
To our delight upon arrival, a hostess holding Paloma and Margarita cocktails welcomed us to an elegant ambiance. Filled with warm furniture design, soft lighting, and bookcases harnessing lush plants, sculptures, and decanters of Clase Azul’s premium Gold, the regal room was a place of discovery for the senses.

Joining the Clase Azul Mexico CEO and Distiller
Clase Azul Mexico’s founder and CEO, Arturo Lomeli, and master distiller Viridiana Tinoco ushered us to the alluring magic of tequila through a series of refreshing cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, where we were joined by visitors like model Ashley Graham and artist Elizabeth Sutton.
“At Clase Azul Mexico, we exist to captivate the world through the magic of Mexican culture while transforming ourselves into better human beings,” said Tinoco. “So, this is a perfect day for us to celebrate and honor our roots and traditions.”

From Clase Azul Reposado to Gold
Captivated by this sentiment and the wondrous world of Jalisco-based expertise, tequila patrons were then led into the brand’s main dining room, where a beautiful tablescape flecked by candlesticks and florals set the tone for Bradley Carnation, Brand Home Manager, to greet guests with a toast, guiding them through a proper tequila-tasting method.

Bringing Flavors from Mexico to DUMBO
Complementing the sweet aroma and distinct flavor of the smooth Clase Azul categories were dishes prepared in collaboration with the brand’s in-house culinary director, Chef Ivan Arias, and Chef Luis Arce Mota. An exquisite five-course dinner party was then held, featuring delectable pairings of Clase Azul tequila with sumptuous dishes of fresh flavors that cornerstone Mexican cuisine.

Special Food and Clase Azul Tequila Pairings
First, Clase Azul Tequila Plata was paired with Esparragos Blancos Pochados—an exquisite dish of white asparagus with mole verde, sprinkled with toasted pumpkin seeds and lemon zest. Clase Azul Tequila Reposado followed with Sopa de Hongos, a soft mound of masa dough topped with wild mushrooms, goat cheese, mushroom sauce, and black truffle. For the third pairing, Clase Azul Tequila Gold partnered Langosta Pochada con Fideos, poached lobster with vermicelli pasta and chorizo sauce.

After, sips of Clase Azul Tequila Anejo were joined by Pollito en Mole—braised chicken thigh with mole poblano sauce over camargue rice. At last, there was an unforgettable dessert paired with Clase Azul Tequila Ultra. Tarta de Nuez, a timeless pecan pie, was topped with vanilla ice cream and Raspberry Coulis, completing the multi-sensory experience.

Over salutations and final sips of tequila, guests joined in celebrating the brand with one last toast to National Tequila Day before exiting. Clase Azul Tequila Gold decanters in hand, all who attended left the event with refreshed minds, palettes, and appreciation for the handcrafted tequila-making process unique to Clase Azul.
