Anne Klein has joined the fight against Coronavirus, with Klein’s granddaughter Jesse Gre Rubinstein heading its efforts. The initiative has procured 100,000 face masks that will be be distributed to essential workers across the United States. Additionally, Gre Rubinstein and her social media agency, Hello There Collective, will take the lead on Anne Klein’s upcoming social media series, which highlights those making a difference during the pandemic.
Considering vulnerable children affected by COVID-19, LOEWE is supporting the Spanish alliance Plataforma de Infancia with an initial donation of €500,000, and will aid the organization with educational programs for at-risk youth. Additionally, LOEWE will donate €40 for each piece sold from its “Ibiza” collection to the group. LOEWE has also provided 100,000 surgical masks to the Spanish Red Cross, and is creating more non-surgical masks at its factory in Getafe, which will be distributed to volunteers and the brand’s employees and their families.
Sustainable luxury brand Redemption is donating 100 percent of its proceeds from all online sales to two charities helping combat COVID-19. Dedicated to using responsible materials like vegan leather, recycled nylon, and organic cotton, the brand is doubling its donation amount from the original 50 percent.
YOOX NET-A-PORTER has transformed its Volunteered Vehicles program into a new effort in response to COVID-19. The group’s fleet of delivery vans is now assisting God’s Love We Deliver in New York, and has provided 140,000 packages—each containing two weeks of non-perishable food items to those with severe illnesses throughout the city’s five boroughs. The vehicle donation program in New York follows the group’s original initiatives in London, Hong Kong, and Milan, which also help deliver supplies.
Prabal Gurung has partnered with The COVID Foundation, and has donated 2,000 3M N95 respirator masks to frontline workers in New York hospitals. To further aid the foundation in its mission to provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to healthcare personnel, the brand is inviting its supporters to donate on its website. 100 percent of funds raised will go toward providing PPE.
Yael Sonia is sharing 20 percent of the sales from her new “Ellipse” collection to help feed those most affected by the pandemic. The donations will directly benefit CityMeals on Wheels.
