Dirty French, The Met, and Vintage Thrift: Chef Joe Cash’s New York

The Pool‘s Executive Chef Joe Cash is often busy behind the scenes, cooking up delicious dishes for those visiting the busy dining destination. For the occasion of Frieze Week, we spoke with Cash about where he likes to eat, sip, see art, and shop.

WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
My go to place is Dirty French. The menu is full of flavor bombs and the cocktails are great. You can’t miss the Lamb Carpaccio. I also love to stop into Chelsea Market for Los Tacos No. 1. Carne asada hot off the grill and the best flour tortillas in the city makes the quesadilla the perfect bite.

WHERE TO SEE ART
With spring on the way, I’m looking forward to The Roof Garden at The Met opening up. This year they have commissioned Huma Bhabha. I’m excited to see how she can haunt such a wonderful view.

WHERE TO RELAX
I’m a big fan of Mid Century Modern furniture and collecting antique spoons for the kitchen. So, whether it’s at Brooklyn Flea, Vintage Thrift in Gramercy, or popping upstate to make a weekend out of it, I really enjoy browsing through antique shops.
