The day was filled with excitement from music performances and a gourmet experience with world-renowned Argentine Chef Francis Mallmann, alongside Dom Pérignon Chef de Cave, Vincent Chaperon. The event began as guests arrived at the Hampton Estate, having been ferried away on a luxurious yacht ride, setting a grand tone for the premiere of the champagne house’s “Exploration of Tactility,” Once there, guests explored the 21-acre estate which followed into Dom Pérignon’s signature solo tasting that showcased a solo podium and wine glass paired with headphones.

In this unique and immersive sensory journey, guests were transported into an exploration of the champagne by echoing the textures through the sounds of music in their mouths. The auditory elements were designed to resonate with the tactile qualities of the champagne, creating a multisensory experience that allowed guests to perceive the intricate layers of the champagne in a profound way.

Dom Pérignon furthered the experience of tactility with a gourmet excursion that harmonized the new vintage champagnes by examining their precise nature through textures and senses. Chef Mallmann took inspiration from the complexity of the vintage champagnes to infuse his signature technique of 7-fire cooking and created a menu that mirrored their distinguishing personalities to maximize the effect. Served to the guests were dishes such as salt-crusted salmon to whole lambs with gremolata sauce that presented textures and flavors of the food echoing the champagne. This meal invited guests to embark on a different sensory excursion to experience the intricacy and prestige existing with the new Dom Pèrignon vintages.

Dom Pérignon’s Vintage 2015 and Vintage 2006 Pléntitude 2

The Vintage 2015 was born under the aegis of a shining year, but also at the same time is deep and tactile with extreme character upon taste. The soils are dried out by intense sun transmitting a mysterious tactile. Vintage 2015 caresses your tastebuds with a generous interior of a ripe matter that gradually opens to floral notes.

After seven years of maturation, the Vintage 2006 has reached its Plénitude 2 forming a new era of expression introducing the Vintage 2006 Plénitude 2. In Dom Pérignon, maturation is essential to create organic, active, and energetic champagnes. The effect nature has to offer is best manipulated over a prolonged time frame opening up a whole new space in wine making. Dom Pérignon uses what time provides in a vintage to explore unpredicted and surprising elements that complement the champagne. In Vintage 2006, it could be refined over time which Plénitude 2 offers in a haramoise balance of subtle bitterness.

Floating Concert and Fireside Toasts to Celebrate Dom Pérignon

Concluding the joyous excursions of the day, guests gathered fireside to enjoy a captivating musical performance on water. The performance was suspended on a platform and harmonized through Bang & Olufsen speakers for guests to enjoy while sipping on champagne. Ending with an intimate toast gathered around the fire led by Dom Pérignon’s Chef de Cave, Chaperon, reminisced on the sensory experiences that elevated the latest vintage creations of Dom Pérignon that guided the guests through a creative play on the notion of tactility. The celebration geared the continuation of the event for the weekend excitement that allowed the public to indulge in this sensory experience.
