After arriving on shore, Cartier-red trolleys transported everyone to a large clear tent, through which the city and Statue of Liberty were viewable. Under a gorgeous installation of floating lights, cocktails were enjoyed before a special presentation of the high jewelry collection, Résonances de Cartier. A delicious dinner of caviar, braised beef, and polenta by Chef Dan Barber was followed by an incredible performance from Andra Day, Jon Batiste, and a DJ set by Grandmaster Flash.
The house is celebrating over 170 years of high jewelry with “The Cartier Haute Joaillerie” exhibition at its Fifth Avenue flagship. It is the largest collection of Cartier high jewelry to be shown in the US, and will be open to the public October 21—29.
