For this week’s Friday Fête, Whitewall takes you through some of this week’s events, including celebrations with Karl Lagerfeld and Christofle, Messika, and more.
Last Friday night at The Webster in New York, we joined Christofle and Karl Lagerfeld for the launch of the brands’ collaborative new collection, “Mood Fashion.” Over cocktails, we caught sight of the new pieces, including silverware held in a luxurious egg-shaped container.

Over the weekend on Saturday, Daniel Arsham celebrated his 38th birthday, and the opening of his exhibition “3018,” at Galerie Perrotin in New York. Wearing a custom-made Dior suit (that designer Kim Jones made him specifically for the celebration), Arsham wrangled in another year with a surprise cake featuring an image of a DeLorean—the same model of car in his exhibition. With music by DJ Samuel Boutruche, guests like his wife, Stephanie Arsham, Emmanuel Perrotin, Ronnie Fieg, Ben Gorham of Byredo, Johan Lindenberg, Alexandre De Betak, Kenzo Minami, and André Saraiva partied into the night.
Tuesday in London, Vacheron Constantin hosted an event at Abbey Road Studios for the debut of its the FiftySix collection—complete with the FiftySix Complete Calendar, FiftySix Day Date, and FiftySix Self-Winding. English singer-songwriter Benjamin Clementine performed the Eternity for the first time, which was a composition produced by the new creative venture between the brand and Abbey Road Studios.

On Wednesday at Milk Studios, we attended Messika’s first-ever U.S.-based soirée with designer Valérie Messika and Gigi Hadid. Featuring a surprise performance by Teyana Taylor and DJ duo Kartell and Dabeull, the night celebrated the model’s new collection for the house, “My Soul,” attended by 600 guests like Halima Aden, Tiffany Haddish, Law Roach, J. Alexander, and Jordan Barrett.
And last night, we ventured to the Greenwich Hotel for the launch of the very first fragrance film campaign by Louis Vuitton. Starring ambassador Emma Stone and directed by Sam Mendes, the film’s release coincides with the launch of the house’s ninth women’s fragrance, Attrape-Rêves.
