For this Friday Fête, Whitewall takes you through some of this week’s hottest New York Fashion Week events.
On Wednesday, Restoration Hardware (RH) hosted an exciting reception to celebrate the unveiling of the new RH New York. RH Chairman and CEO Gary Friedman was joined by guests like Portia de Rossi, Alex Gilkes, Martha Stewart, Karlie Kloss, and Kate Young for a night exploring all six floors. With fresh bellinis, vodka cocktails, and wine in hand by Cipriani NYC, attendees also enjoyed a caviar bar and gourmet bites by restaurateur Brendan Sodikoff. As the night carried on, so did music by DJ Nora En Pure, all in benefit of Friends of the High Line and Free Arts NYC.

Yesterday, we stopped by Dover Street Market NY for the ground floor installation debut from The Row. Partnering with The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum for a pop-up space, The Row’s install features 13 sculptural works by Isamu Noguchi. The installation is on view at DSMNY through September 19.
Last night at the Whitney Museum, Belvedere Vodka hosted a soirée celebrating its newest limited-edition bottle, designed in collaboration with artist and activist Laolu Senbanjo. Globally recognized for his signature style with white paint, and his art on Beyoncé for her recent Lemonade album, Senbanjo hosted the event with a runway show—led my models like Martha Hunt and Helena Christensen painted by him. Following the event, sounds like The Misshapes carried through the space, as guests like Jackie Crus, Alicia Quarles, Andi Dorfman, and Alex Lundqvist danced into the night.

From there, we ventured to Greene Street for Peter Dundas’ “Traveling Flagship.” Joining VIPs like Evangelo Bousis and Natasha Poly, guests celebrated the designer’s DUNDAS NY pop-up shop (which followed one in Los Angeles and then Mykonos) with music by Mia Moretto and Simi Haze. Open through October 4, the shop is stocked with the DUNDAS D4 collection.
And tonight, we’re heading to an afterparty on Howard Street at The Blond to celebrate the newest Spring/Summer 2019 collection from The Blonds. Known as the queer powerhouse designers behind some of today’s wildest attire, the duo is celebrating 18 years of fashion with a new collection inspired by Disney villains. Surely, it has set the stage for an exciting night out.
