With the holiday season underway, we’re recounting recent celebrations, dinners, and other festive happenings in this edition of Friday Fête—like Christian Siriano’s White Elephant party, dinner with AnnaSophia Robb and St-Germain, a party with Maison Kitsuné, and more.
On December 7, Maison Kitsuné and the designer Olympia Le-Tan held a holiday party at The Bar by Café Kitsuné in Brooklyn for the launch of their latest capsule collection of apparel, shoes, and accessories. Part of the house’s multi-purpose gallery, café, and bar space in Boerum Hill, the chic location hosted guests like Jamie Hunter, Cassell Ferere, Deon Hinton, Jaye De Laney, and Victoria Wallace, who mingled over specialty cocktails and hors d’oeuvres (like mini sandwiches and cake), while DJ Paul Sevigny set the mood.
Julie Macklowe of the whiskey label The Macklowe threw a bash for the holidays and the occasion of her 45th birthday on December 9 in Manhattan. The night began with sips of The Macklowe and other cocktails at Cipriani’s Musica Club, where guests were treated to live jazz, a burlesque aerial performance, and bites provided by Cipriani. With hundreds of guests present for Macklowe’s celebration (including Vanessa Fuchs, Simon Kim, Ronan Farrow, Daniel Arsham, Almine Rech Picasso, and Timo Weiland), the party continued late into the night. Moving to the main club on the upper floor at the bequest of the Master of Ceremonies, Dennis Estrella, the celebratory evening was complete with the presentation of a giant The Macklowe-shaped birthday cake and dancing to the sounds of DJ Bob Moses.
Last Tuesday was a busy one with Tod’s starting the night, toasting to its new publication Aria d’Italia at Sant Ambroeus in SoHo. The elegant Italian eatery was a fitting spot to celebrate the gorgeous book, which exalts Italianness in eight chapters of beautiful photographs and anecdotes from Italian entrepreneurs, creatives, and tastemakers. Present for the private affair were guests like Katie Holmes, Lily Allen, Karlie Kloss, Isolde Brielmaier, Stefano Tonchi, Zoe Buckman, and Thomas Doherty.
Next, we stopped at the Nine Orchard Hotel for a holiday soirée with AnnaSophia Robb and St~Germain, which honored the liqueur brand’s new Royale Dash cocktail fountain at the hotel. Continuing Robb’s partnership with St~Germain, the intimate affair in the hotel’s East Room welcomed friends of the actor and the brand, including Robb’s husband, Trevor Paul, brand ambassador Earlecia Richelle, and other names like Jameel Mohammed, Colin Burgess, Serena Goh, and Ryan Norville. Following a seated meal and conversation over spiced pear and elderflower spritzes, St~Germain surprised Robb with a cake for her twenty-ninth birthday, which passed just days before the event.
We closed out the evening with Christian Siriano at PUBLIC Hotel, where the designer offered his own take on a holiday classic with The ElegantWhite Elephant Exchange. Made possible by Pernod Ricard USA’s spirit portfolio (which includes Avión Reserva 44 Extra Añejo Tequila, Jameson Black Barrel Irish Whiskey, The Glenlivet 14 Year, and Aberlour 12 Year Scotch) the festive occasion saw guests partaking in party games that included gifts like a bespoke 23k gold cocktail trunk (hand-painted by the South African artist Johnathan Schultz) and outfitted with a hand-blown URI Neptune glass bar set and an on-theme limited-edition white elephant sculpture. Those who missed out on this coveted holiday happening can shop The Elegant White Elephant Collection for their own sips, available on ReserveBar.
On Thursday evening in California, Birkenstock gathered in Venice Beach for the launch of its “#BOLD II” Collection with the artist Vince Skelly. Alongside attendees like Alexis Quintero, John Moore, Sophie Monet, Twin Shadow, and Glen Walsh, special guests gathered in the West Coast boutique for a preview of the collection, enjoyed alongside pours of local beer and wine.
Then, Lanvin Group invited friends to a celebratory dinner at Altro Paradiso in New York City to commemorate the occasion of the group’s public listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Treating guests to delicious Italian fare and sips like peach spritzes and negronis, the occasion saw the likes of Reese Cooper, Kelela, John Elliott, AnnaSophia Robb, Vanessa Friedman, and Bailey Moon joining the group’s chairman Joann Cheng for conversation and a candlelit seated meal.
