From Her Beverly Hills Bungalow, Jacquie Aiche Balances Intuition and Meaning

The Los Angeles-based jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche shared with Whitewall how her collections feature more than delicately placed gemstones and fine materials—but energy, intuition, and meaning, too.

“For me, intention is everything,” said Jacquie Aiche, the jewelry designer and founder of her eponymous Beverly Hills label. Since its start in 2007, her brand has gained attention and acclaim for its blend of luxury and bohemian styles, with necklaces, body chains, bracelets, and more adorned with colorful gemstones, sparkling diamonds, and high-powered crystals. Always, though, the Jacquie Aiche label has centered spirituality—a connection to intuition and free-spirited energy.

“From the beginning, I’ve wanted every piece to have a deeper meaning than just what meets the eye,” Aiche elaborated to Whitewall. “Whether that be spiritual significance, a crystal that imbues healing, or a talisman that connects you with the energy of the Earth. I design with the intention to spread love and positive energy, however that manifests for my tribe.”

Her tribe, as she calls it, is a group of global women who embrace the same energy—from friends to customers and clients, like Beyonce,  Rihanna, and Gigi Hadid. They embody confidence, intention, style, and grace, and wear go-to Jacquie Aiche styles—like gold finger bracelets with diamonds,  drop-down necklaces, and anklets with dangling gemstones.

Whitewall spoke with Aiche about how her label has evolved into what it is today, how her father manifested her latest collaboration with Timex, and where she recommends those visiting Los Angeles go this weekend.

WHITEWALL: To create your piece, you use hand-selected minerals and gemstones. Can you walk us through your process of selecting these? Where do they come from, where are they stored, and how do you know which to choose?

JACQUIE AICHE: My gemstone and mineral collection is very precious to me. I have spent over a decade collecting minerals that have been sourced from all over the world. Every year I go to the Tucson Gem Show in Arizona to discover new magic and then bring the treasures home with me. I keep my collection in a sacred space at the Bungalow. Every gemstone that I design with is one that I’ve hand-selected. The process of selecting stones in my design process is very similar to the process that I use when selecting the stones for my collection. I go where I am drawn to. I love to play with my minerals, blending them and giving myself the freedom to create what lights me up most and what I believe my tribe will find beautiful and healing.

WW: You’re also a firm believer in the healing powers of stones. Can you tell us a bit about some stones you use that emulate certain energies?

JA: I work with so many gemstones that all offer such an expansive and incredible list of healing benefits. A few of my favorites at the moment are Opal and Tourmaline. Opal is one of the most luminous gemstones that Mother Earth has to offer. With properties that inspire creativity, positive energy, passion, and enthusiasm for life this stone intrinsically makes your spirit shine, and your body glow. Tourmaline has so much to offer. It can be found in a beautiful range of colors and is known to assist in creating balance and finding inspiration.

WW. Most recently, a new tribe of muses is seen in “The Bungalow Musings”—Eboni Nichols, Lauren London, and Sarah Shahi. What do these women represent about the brand? What do they have in common with JA?

JA: Lauren London, Sarah Shahi, and Eboni Nichols move through the world with intention and grace. They each have their own uniquely beautiful personalities, life experiences, and style—and they bring the most authentic version of themselves into every room they walk into. I want women, and men, to embody this empowered, confident sense of self when wrapped up in their JA layers.

WW: Your multi-series partnership with Timex has been a blockbuster hit. How did this collaboration first come to fruition?

JA: There was a time when my dad was having spine surgeries, and he would get out of bed and say, “I’m like a Timex watch. I take a licking and I keep on ticking…” Not long after, in 2021, a friend of mine reached out and said Timex would love to do a collaboration with you. It felt so serendipitous that they reached out and how it all happened. My dad manifested it for us.

WW: How does co-designing a timepiece impact the way you view the watch market? Do it fuel more interest in creating timepiece in the future?

JA: Our Timex collaboration has shown me that the watch market is a space that I’m meant to be in. It all happened so naturally and in the perfect timing. I always felt a pull to create timepieces that push beyond the traditional, and seeing how my tribe and how the world has responded to this collaboration, I know that I’m on the right path. I love to create and play within this new space and I definitely see more interest coming in the future…

WW: Tell us a bit about your latest pieces. What do they symbolize?

JA: My latest creations are pieces that I’m really excited about because I felt a sense of evolution and celebration of creativity while designing them. You’ll find new snake layers, and as a symbol of renewal and personal transformation I loved enhancing their power with a little bit of crystal magic…There are new inlays inspired by the beauty of desert sunsets, a new way to adorn yourself in our signature eyes, coral hearts that add love to your ear game, and more.

WW: You’re based in LA. Tell us about your home and atelier, and what’s seen there.

JA: The Bungalow is like our own little sanctuary. As soon as you walk in, you’re surrounded by crystals and jewelry. You immediately feel a shift in energy. It’s a personal and sacred space. I design everything in my studio, with my candles lit and my tribe close by. I’ll always be inspired by the natural beauty of California—everything from the sunshine to the wildflowers. Los Angeles is home to me. There’s an energy here that’s unlike anywhere else in the world.

WW: For those new to L.A., what are some of your favorite spots?

JA: A few of my favorite spots are: Matsuhisa for sushi, Forma for pilates, Surya Spa at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel, Mr Chow for Chinese food, Denim Revival for vintage Levi’s, SK Donuts for an apple fritter, and Little John’s at the Grove Farmers Market for a sweet treat.
