DK: Every Gentle Monster store is designed as a unique experience, where product is placed between and within the artwork to be part of the holistic experience.
WW: What was the inspiration behind Gentle Monster’s latest collection?
DK: For 2019, Gentle Monster presented a future world of evolution and environmental change. Space and evolution was a huge inspiration to all of this year.
WW: What’s special about Downtown L.A. to you?
DK: As a brand, relatively new to the western world, we were captivated by the potential and the city’s plans for the evolving neighborhood. Experiencing the people and culture of DTLA, the potential on top of what is has already achieved, it is our pleasure to be able to be part of what we feel will be a huge milestone for the entire city and state, was an amazing opportunity.
