Last Friday in Miami, Whitewall Magazine and Hatje Cantz publishing invited guests to an evening celebrating Loris Gréaud’s monograph, The Unplayed Notes & The Underground Sculpture Park—2012-2020. Atop the roof of the Hotel Greystone, partygoers were invited to experience a sound performance by Gréaud and the musician Lee Ranaldo to commemorate the book’s release and successful pre-orders.

Set against a beautiful Miami cityscape, an intimate party of names like Stefan Bruggemann, Pamela Golbin, Ian Luna, Jérôme Sans, and Thurston Moore gathered around as Gréaud and Ranaldo came together to entertain guests. Lit in fiery red as the sun began to disappear, the sound-based showcase combined the conceptual artist’s practice with the musical talents of Ranaldo.
Gréaud embraces experimentation in his practice, and the publication sheds light on his process through a look at two of his ongoing projects—The Unplayed Notes and The Underground Sculpture Park—and features words from the curator, critic, and theorist, Nicolas Bourriaud.
