Developed by engineers and watchmakers at Hublot, the official timekeeper of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Chronograph was created specifically for the world of soccer and is the official watch of the competition. The timepiece looks like it belongs on the field with the competitors, with its unique bi-retrograde display. Between the 10 and 2 o’clock positions, the watch is numbered from zero to 60 with marks to specify the end of one 45-minute half, “extra time,” and “added time.” After 60 minutes, both the minute and second hands sweep back to zero, all as homage to the World Cup. Available in two looks (18K king gold and a black ceramic), both have a carbon fiber bezel secured by Hublot’s signature six H-shaped screws. The watch has earned the name “Soccer Bang,” and its dial bears the national colors of World Cup host Brazil, yellow and green.
