On March 2 in Paris, in the middle of Paris Fashion Week, beauty brand Coty debuted its first in-house collection of fragrances, Infiniment Coty Paris. The suite of 14 scents marks the house’s 120th anniversary and was created by Coty CEO Sue Nabi and Nicolas Vu (the pair also behind skincare company Orveda).
Infiniment Coty Paris Debuts During Paris Fashion Week
From 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at 5 rue Saint-Merri in the heart of the Marais, the pop-up gallery was filled with sights, senses, and experiences that embody the art, science, and emotions of Infiniment Coty Paris.
The collection of scents includes “Entre Genres,” rooted in musk; “Soleil d’Ikosim,” full of orange blossom and sweetness; “Matin de Jade,” with notes of ginger and tea; and “Encore Une Fois,” boasting amber and vanilla. Nabi and Vu were inspired by their African and Asian heritage respectively, reminiscing on childhood moments of joy and wonder. Each scent is encapsulated in refillable and stackable bottles—“art cycling” as Coty describes it—accentuated with a spherical top.
Also on view was evidence of Infiniment Coty Paris’s continued commitment to contemporary art. The gallery included works by Isabelle.D, Evans Mbugua, Deborah Segun, Francisco Vidal, Younes Khourassani, Ousmane Niang, Saïdou Dicko, Thandiwe Muriu, Mous Lamrabat, Emo de Meideros, and Willys Kezi Niangi. Alongside their pieces were talks, dance performances, and showcases by artists John Glacier and Aime Simone.
“Art gives soul to luxury,” said Vu.
