This week, we’re covering FIAC in Paris, as well as its surrounding events. To give you an insider look at the city, we’re talking to those in-the-know, who are sharing their favorite spots to dine, drink, relax, and see art at. Below, we hear from the founder of Studio Marant, Emily Marant.
WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
A great thing about Paris these days is that new restaurants and chefs are being very creative. Yard for natural wines, Deux Fois Plus de Piment for Sichuanese and really spicy food, Carbón for amazing cocktails in their secret bar, La Mina. Le Servan is always a good idea, Les Deux Amis for an apéritif à la Parisienne, and Le Crillon or Le Ritz for a posh spritz on their terrace.
WHERE TO SEE ART
I’m looking forward to seeing the first edition of Paris Avant-Première, a walk-through of galleries, project spaces, and other emerging projects just before FIAC. I’ll also be curating an exhibition for Hôtel Le Cinq Codet, “Reality Check.” I’ll also check out Balice Hertling, Crèvecoeur, Almine Rech, Sans-Titre, Mor Charpentier, Praz Delavallade, 22 Visconti, Palais de Tokyo, and Galleria Continua.
WHERE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX
I’ll go for a Sunday at Les Puces de Saint-Ouen with a nice brunch at Flea. Or a stroll and a picnic at les Buttes de Chaumont, or a beer and a barbecue on Les Quais. And if I can, I’ll jump on a train for some fresh air in Marseilles!
