This week, we’re covering FIAC in Paris, as well as its surrounding events. To give you an insider look at the city, we’re talking to those in-the-know, who are sharing their favorite spots to dine, drink, relax, and see art at. Below, we hear from the chairman of the Opera Gallery Group, Gilles Dyan.
WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
Costes is always my first choice for dinner and drinks, because it’s timeless. It has an intimate atmosphere paired with a spectacular outdoor seating area. For some of Paris’s best Italian dining, I visit La Corte, a cozy mom-and-pop restaurant that is tucked away in a small courtyard. I love going to Orient Extrême for Japanese—it has a cool vibe and is located right off avenue Montaigne.

WHERE TO SEE ART
You always see spectacular art at FIAC, although I also love going to visit the Gagosian! Of course, I have to say Opera Gallery, which presents masterpieces from established and emerging artists from all around the world.
WHERE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX
Plaza Athénée has an amazing inner courtyard restaurant called La Cour Jardin, a true haven of peace in a busy city. If weather permits, I like to sit outside at L’Orangerie’s marble courtyard at the Four Seasons Hotel George V.
