Jean-Christophe Laizeau’s Los Angeles: Giorgio’s, Sunset Tower, and The Ivy

All this week in preparation for Frieze Los Angeles, we’re hearing from leading art, culture, and lifestyle experts share how they enjoy Los Angeles.

“I fell in love with the city of Los Angeles in 2000 when I first came here for a party Suzanne Saperstein organized for New Year’s Eve. Since that time I wanted to come to live here. . . And here I am. I love to go to Clementine on Ensley Avenue. It’s a café with homemade cakes and salads. You always meet interesting people over there and some celebrities. For lunch I love to go to The Ivy. The food is great and the ambiance divine. Having lunch on their terrace surrounded by all these roses is a dream. I also love restaurant The Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and the terrace by the pool. For dinner, I will say La Dolce Vita, Louká, or the Sunset Tower Bar. I love the brunch by the pool at The Peninsula Hotel. For parties and drinks I go to Raspoutine on Melrose or to Giorgio’s in The Standard Hotel. It’s always fun, good music, good crowd, and Dom Pérignon champagne!”
