Katelijne de Backer’s Miami: Malibu Farm, PAMM, and Eden Roc Hotel

To give you an insider look at Miami for your stay during Art Basel, we’re talking to those in-the-know. Here, the director of PULSE Contemporary Art FairKatelijne de Backer, shares her favorite spots to dine, drink, relax, and see art.

WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
When I’m at PULSE Miami Beach, I will head next door to the new bright and airy Malibu Farm at the Eden Roc Hotel. It’s oceanfront dining at its best, where one can have the farm-to-table dining experience with fresh, organic, and locally sourced produce while being in a totally romantic atmosphere.

WHERE TO SEE ART
I will see the most art at PULSE! This year we will be working together with the curators of PAMM, who will be selecting their favorite pieces under the PAMM Picks program. I will definitely hop over to one of PULSE’s cultural partners, like The Bass, as it’s very closely located. And, if time permits, I will also head to PAMM, which is architecturally lovely inside and out!

WHERE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX
Fun and relaxing to me is taking a run on the beach early in the morning. And given that I will be staying at the Eden Roc Hotel, a plunge in the swimming pool is not to be missed either.
