This week, we’re covering Frieze London and its surrounding events. To give you an insider look at the city, we’re talking to those in-the-know, who are sharing their favorite spots to dine, drink, relax, and see art at. Below, we hear from gallerist Patrick Seguin.
WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
One of my favorite places to eat is Cipriani (now C London)—I have my habits there. I also love the River Café for lunch; the owner, the sweet Ruthie Rogers, is a friend of mine. Green’s is a great stop on the way to Christie’s. Having a crab salad or oyster at the bar is such a treat. For dinner, I would recommend Scott’s, a really great atmosphere, in Mayfair.

WHERE TO SEE ART
The Gagosian gallery at 20 Grosvenor Hill is a must see! One should also visit Sadie Coles, Almine Rech, Stuart Shave, Skarstedt Gallery, Simon Lee, Massimo De Carlo. I am inviting Campoli Presti for a “Carte Blanche” show in my London space in October. And I usually also visit the Tate and the Serpentine Gallery whenever I have a chance.
WHERE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX
For clubbing, Chiltern Firehouse (owned by my friend André Balazs) or Loulou’s are the best. For a break, I love the spa at The Connaught hotel and of course the Claridge’s Hotel, always. It’s my London home.
