Hardy’s, Camden Arts Centre, and Carters Steam Fair: James Brett’s London

Frieze London 2017, open October 5-8, is an international destination every year. With an array of exhibitions open to the public, including site-specific installations, sculpture, performance, and multimedia art, the fair stuns with diversity, and a dedicated attendance of art world players from around the world.

For its occasion, Whitewaller heard from James BrettFounder of The Museum + The Gallery of Everything, on where to eat, sip, see art, have fun, and relax during the festive week.

WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
Hardy’s for haddock soufflé and bio-wine. Leila’s for personally curated rawness. Oslo Court for fancy continental flambé. Towpath Cafe for what’s in the fridge. Dalston Jazz Bar for the worst cocktails in London.

WHERE TO SEE ART
Dig our vibes at The Gallery of Everything on Chiltern Street. Dig other vibes at Messrs. Paley, MacGarry, De Carlo, or David Zwirner. Minis we like: Camden Arts Centre, the Foundling, and the toy museums. Maxis, too: the British Museum and the Tates.

WHERE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX
All of the above. Or a leisurely walk along other people’s garden walls. Midweek car boots while away the hours and always yield treasure. Old taxi ranks tea-stops. Primrose Hill, two a.m. daily. Carters Steam Fair. Any Northern Soul shindig.
