Last week, Jaquet Droz, opened its very first store in mainland China. The cutting of the ribbon took place outside the new Shanghai boutique and was hosted by Jaquet Droz president, Marc A. Hayek.
After the opening ceremony, guests were invited to the Swatch Art Peace Hotel for the viewing of an exhibition that marked Jaquet Droz’s 275th anniversary. The exhibition is told in five chapters, shifting from timepieces of the 18th-century to the contemporary creations of today.
The exhibition will be on view in Shanghai until July 2 and will then tour the rest of Asia and the world.
