Last Friday, April 21, the Joffrey Ballet held its annual Spring Gala, hosted by the Joffrey Women’s Board in Chicago. The evening began at the Auditorium Theatre, where over 700 guests gathered to enjoy champagne and cocktails before a spectacular performance by dancers from the Joffrey Company and Joffrey Academy of Dance.
The program included Round of Angels choreographed by Gerald Arpino, Liturgy choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, and Body of Your Dreams choreographed by Myles Thatcher.
The evening honored Mary Galvin, a longtime supporter of the Ballet, who was joined by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Anne Kaplan, and Shauna Montgomery. Gala attendees moved to The Palmer House Hilton after the performance, where drinks and hors d’oeuvres were served in the hotel’s Red Lacquer room, before dinner was enjoyed in the Grand Ballroom.
The night was sponsored by MO Wealth Management and hosted by co-chairs Sandra and Roger Deromedi, Shelley and William Farley, Jerrilyn and David Hoffmann, Maria and William Smithburg and Patti Eylar.
