Swiss haute watch brand, Audemars Piguet presented their new artist collaboration this past weekend during Art Basel Miami Beach, with a two night celebration. Emmanuel Perrotin gallery paired with the watch brand to present the installation “Curiosity,” created by KOLKOZ. The duo behind Kolkoz, Benjamin Moreau and Samuel Boutruche, created the piece specifically for Basel week in Miami. “Curiosity,” stationed at the Miami Marine Stadium in Key Biscayne, is a whimsical snow covered floating chalet, which holds promise of helping the rebirth of the stadium.
The opening candlelit dinner last Thursday took place at the Miami Marine Stadium, just in front of the installation. Long, white tables were set up for guests to dine. CEO of Audemars Piguet, François-Henry Bennahmias expressed gratitude to those involved with the project. The Miami Marine Stadium architect, Hilario Candela and Art Basel’s director also gave speeches of thankful recognition.

The following night, the festivities continued with a unique Miami soiree. A thousand guests were transported by from the Miami Beach convention center to the stadium, where artists, gallerists, collectors, and celebrities alike were able to board “Curiosity” and mingle into the night at sea.
Guests included Serena Williams, Lionel Richie, Nicole Richie, Emmanuel Perrotin, and many more!
