This holiday season in Paris, award-winning, eco-conscious French skincare brand Orveda hosted a luminous grand opening night of its inaugural flagship house in France. Titled “Skinescence,” the experiential debut of La Maison Orveda Paris united live performances, creative installations, and the unveiling of a scientific lab. The city’s glitterati were in full attendance, raising a bubbly toast to the esteemed Biotech brand’s far-reaching innovations in biotechnology and longevity.
Founded by beauty pioneers Nicolas Vu and Sue Nabi, Orveda was acquired by Coty in 2021, merging the teachings of time-honored, ancient medicine with cutting-edge, revolutionary science. At the elegant address of 6 Place Saint Sulpice, Vu, CEO and Co-Founder of Orveda, brought together notables including Victoria Dauberville, Alexandra Golovanoff, Kim Higelin, Chiara Mastroianni, Julien Sebbag, and Giambattista Valli.

What is Orveda?
“Over the last 30 years, Orveda’s visionary founders, Sue Nabi and businessman, CEO Nicolas Vu, had worked with top scientists and medical experts, those who had a deep understanding of active ingredients and the latest skincare technologies but also understood how skin functions, its physiology. They started to see the limits of traditional skincare.
Producing environmentally friendly products, augmented with clean and green formulas, has remained a vital goal of founder Sue Y. Nabi since its founding days: “We always say that Orveda is a “work with the skin, not against it” skincare range. We decided to go vegan because we wanted to work “with, not against” animals. For us, there is absolutely no need to use animal origin actives and we felt that it was a good moment to send a message to the world about the fact that we should respect the animal kingdom and work harder to produce environmentally friendly products.
It took us 3 years to develop a vegan skincare line because most of the ingredients available are not vegan, including fillers (that allow us to create really nice textures) that are all from animal origins. We had to find vegan options for many of the usual skincare ingredients to compose clean and green formulas.” – Orveda
