Le Bristol Paris Turns 100 with Celebratory Centennial Collaborations

Explore the exquisite collaborations Le Bristol Paris has created for its 100th anniversary—from partnerships with Sporty & Rich, Cire Trudon, and more.

On Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Le Bristol Paris celebrates its 100th anniversary, marking a full century as one of the city’s most iconic addresses. More than just a hospitality destination, the hotel has become a cultural touchstone and a sanctuary of timeless refinement. Since opening in 1925, it has hosted royalty, creatives, and lovers of esteemed culture from around the world, bringing inspiration to its guests through its trademark sage-green shutters, striped awnings, storied hallways, and exceptional service.

After purchasing the townhouse from Count de Castellane, Le Bristol was founded by Hippolyte Jammet, becoming a crown jewel of hospitality during the “roaring twenties.” Known for its discretion, the hotel earned the nickname “l’hôtel silencieux”—meaning “the silent hotel”—and still promises a sense of unwavering privacy to its guests.

Le Bristol Paris is the art of the intangible, the very essence of quiet luxury… imbued with genuine warmth,” said Luca Allegri, President of Le Bristol Paris. “We’ve cultivated timeless elegance while also keeping an eye to the future as we continue to innovate for the next 100 years.”

To commemorate its centennial, Le Bristol Paris is hosting a year-long celebration that blends heritage with imagination. For its special anniversary, the hotel offers guests collectible matchboxes, pens, and letterhead featuring an updated design that celebrates the aesthetic evolution of the hotel and its signature charm.

The celebration also includes a bespoke fragrance created in partnership with historic candle maker Cire Trudon, designed to fill the hotel’s rooms and suites with a scent that evokes Le Bristol’s refined spirit. This olfactory experience anchors the centennial in the senses, adding another layer to the hotel’s already immersive atmosphere. Beyond fragrance, Le Bristol’s collaboration with Sporty & Rich presents a modern lifestyle capsule collection that merges contemporary wellness with French sophistication. The collection references the hotel’s signature design details—its striped awnings, sage tones, and classic typography—offering a wearable tribute to its legacy.

Perhaps the most playful collaboration is a custom edition of Cluedo, the first hotel-themed version of the classic board game. Set in the 1930s, this reimagining swaps out murder for mystery with the disappearance of Socrate—Le Bristol’s beloved cat. Guests are invited to explore the hotel’s salons, kitchen, and gardens while solving the feline mystery—a nostalgic and imaginative way to engage with the hotel’s history.

Le Bristol has also marked the occasion by unveiling reimagined versions of two of its most iconic suites. The Signature Honeymoon Suite—with its sweeping rooftop views of the Eiffel Tower—now features a dreamlike fresco by Dimitri Rybaltchenko, inspired by the myth of Eros and Psyche. The space is a blend of architecture and storytelling—a serene retreat for those looking for romance and a view. Meanwhile, the Imperial Suite has been transformed in collaboration with celebrated artist George Condo, evolving into a collector’s apartment. A curated color palette of greens echoes the hues of the Jardin Français, and bespoke artworks are seen throughout.

Gastronomy plays a central role in Le Bristol’s centennial programming. Executive Chef Arnaud Faye has developed a special menu for a gala dinner and traditional garden party that will anchor the celebrations in Paris. His vibrant dishes—filled with citrus notes and plant-forward ingredients—capture the spirit of the moment while paying homage to French culinary tradition. The centennial also extends internationally, with Chef Faye set to host a gastronomic week at L’Osier in Tokyo, bringing the flavors and elegance of Le Bristol to a global audience.

The Oetker family’s stewardship since 1978 has helped maintain and expand Le Bristol’s grandeur. Their first major move was acquiring the neighboring convent to create the Résidence wing, including two remarkable Terrace Suites with panoramic views of the Jardin Français, Paris’s largest private hotel garden. This tranquil oasis of seasonal blooms provides a serene contrast to the city’s lively rhythm. Inside, Le Bristol is as much a museum as a hotel. Thanks to the family’s close relationship with The Louvre, the hotel acquired a portrait of Marie Antoinette, now on display at Café Antonia. Alongside it, works by Picasso, Chagall, and Valdés line the halls, immersing guests in an ongoing dialogue between past and present.
