Le Petit Maison, Dandelyan, and Hôtel Costes: Nazy Vassegh’s London

Whitewaller

30 September 2016

For Whitewaller‘s inaugural London&Paris issue, out for Frieze London 2016, we handpicked a few insiders—a select group of those in-the-know on all things London—that shared with us how to navigate the city during the art fair. Next up, we have the CEO of Masterpiece LondonNazy Vassegh, who shares her top spots to eat, drink, network, and relax next week.

WHERE TO EAT
In the heart of Mayfair, I like Le Petite Maison—they serve wonderful salt-baked sea bass with artichokes. Also, Cecconi’s homemade pasta is second to none—I love going for lunch!

WHERE TO SIP
Dandelyan at the Mondrian Hotel, not far from the Tate Modern. My favourite cocktail? Yellow & Green Fizz—a crisp champagne cocktail with Merlet pear liqueur, grass, yuzu vinegar, and Perrier-Jouët champagne.

WHERE TO NETWORK
I tend to have meetings at The Arts Club, and I recently discovered Mark’s Club off Berkeley Square and I love it.

WHERE TO SEE ART
I particularly enjoy early morning views of the Tate Modern when it’s nice and quiet. I could get lost in the Wallace Collection too.

WHERE TO HAVE FUN
Chiltern Firehouse is always a good place to let loose and have fun, but you can’t beat the glorious terrace of The Ivy Chelsea Garden on a Saturday afternoon.

WHERE TO RELAX
After Frieze, I’m usually on my way to Paris for Fiac. I tend to catch up over a glass at Hôtel Costes or the new Joséphine Bonaparte Hôtel. I usually stay in St. Germain and try to stroll through the Jardin des Tuilerie or walk through Le Marais and take in the masterpieces of the Musée Picasso.
