FIAC 2017 opens this week (October 19-22), and we’re sharing insider tips on where to eat, sip, see art, have fun, and relax during the festive week from Jérôme Sans, Artistic Director, Curator, and Director of Institutions. For more on this year’s edition of FIAC and the surrounding fairs, exhibitions, events, and happenings, check out Whitewaller London & Paris 2017, out now in Paris.
WHERE TO EAT AND SIP
Le Petit Château d’Eau is my go-to restaurant for lunch, thanks to its plat du jour. Le Verre Volé has generous and contemporary cuisine in a simple and friendly setting. Le Silencio is great to immerse yourself in the Parisian underground culture with a good cocktail in hand.

WHERE TO SEE ART
The Palais de Tokyo, the Musée national d’art moderne, the Centre Pompidou, the Fondation Cartier, the Fondation Louis Vuitton, as well as the Musée Picasso. And top Parisian galleries like Perrotin, Thaddaeus Ropac, Kamel Mennour, Balice Hertling, and Carpenters Workshop.
WHERE TO HAVE FUN AND RELAX
The flea market at Saint-Ouen when you’re looking for the unknown or the usual. The Yoyo within the Palais de Tokyo, which draws an eclectic crowd from the electronic music scene.
