Les Osmiums by INFINIMENT COTY PARIS

INFINIMENT COTY PARIS Elevates Amber to New Heights with Les Osmiums, Extrait de Parfum

A concentrated trilogy of amber-driven extrait de parfums that transforms heritage into modern, sculptural intensity.

There is a moment in luxury fragrance when concentration becomes more than intensity—it becomes presence. With Les Osmiums, INFINIMENT COTY PARIS introduces a new chapter rooted in the idea that scent can move beyond composition into atmosphere, amplifying its own aura through density and heightened concentration. Conceived as a radical reinterpretation of three core amber compositions, the collection elevates the extrait de parfum format to an almost architectural level, where every note feels amplified and sculpted for maximum impact.

The Art of Olfactory Density

Named after osmium, one of the rarest and most extraordinarily dense metals on earth, the collection draws inspiration from the idea of concentration at its most powerful and refined. The reference is more than material—it is linguistic. The metal’s name originates from the Greek word osmē, meaning scent or fragrance, an etymology that feels especially fitting for a line devoted to pushing perfumery toward greater depth and intensity.

In Les Osmiums, density becomes both metaphor and method. Formulated as highly concentrated extrait de parfums, the fragrances are designed to linger with remarkable persistence, unfolding gradually rather than announcing themselves all at once. The effect is immersive and almost sculptural—a scent experience that clings to the skin with depth, echoing the weight and rarity associated with its namesake element.

Amber, Reimagined for the Present

Central to the collection is AMBRÉINE S, the legendary base born from Coty’s early perfumery heritage and famously associated with the historical fragrance Ambre Antique. Originally created through what perfume lore describes as an accidental excess of vanillin and bergamot, the accord gives each composition a rounded, luminous quality—bringing warmth and radiance while allowing complexity to unfold gradually.

Here, heritage becomes innovation. Each extrait carries a heightened sense of volume, drawing inspiration from archival craftsmanship while leaning decisively into modern maximalism. Rather than treating amber as nostalgia, Les Osmiums reframes it for contemporary sensibilities: sharper contrasts, stronger trails, and a more immersive emotional quality.

The Three Osmiums

The collection reimagines three signature fragrances in concentrated form, each shaped by a distinct emotional register.

Encore Une Fois L’Osmium, created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, explores vanilla at its most opulent. A pairing of vanilla absolute and infusion meets frankincense and Peru balsam, enriched by labdanum and the house’s amber accords. The effect is sensual yet structured—lush without becoming overly sweet—unfolding like a warm, resinous veil that feels almost hypnotic on the skin.

With L’Amour Pourpre L’Osmium, perfumer Dora Baghriche plays with tension. Aromatic lavender and fresh herbal notes collide against deeper amber warmth, creating an interplay between brightness and shadow. Vanilla and patchouli anchor the composition, while a softly smoldering base allows the fragrance to transition seamlessly from day into evening. The mood evokes a kind of nocturnal elegance—an embrace defined by contrast.

Meanwhile, Après L’Amour L’Osmium, also by Pellegrin, leans into spice and texture. Ginger, cinnamon, and pink pepper spark the opening before settling into tobacco and rich woody tones, creating a trail that feels vertical and expansive. The amber structure lends depth without heaviness, offering a composition that reads as both comforting and magnetic.

AMBRÉINE S and the Echo of Ambre Antique

The story of Les Osmiums is inseparable from the revival of Ambre Antique—a landmark moment that positioned the house’s heritage at the forefront of contemporary perfumery. Technical perfumer Dominique Vernaz reconstructed the historic AMBRÉINE S base through a process described as olfactory archaeology, reconnecting modern fragrance-making with the origins of amber as a modern olfactory family.

In Les Osmiums, that archival gesture becomes living material, infused into compositions that feel firmly grounded in the present. The collection carries an almost cinematic spirit, allowing scent to behave more like light and shadow than simple notes.

A Minimal Bottle, Maximal Presence

Visually, the collection balances intensity with restraint. A design choice that mirrors the fragrances themselves: concentrated, precise, and meant to leave a lasting impression rather than dominate through spectacle.

The iconic bottle is reimagined in a compact 40 ml format, stripped down but undeniably bold. A deep matte blue cap references the hue of osmium itself, while metallic detailing reinforces the tension between minimalism and opulence.

With Les Osmiums, INFINIMENT COTY PARIS suggests that luxury today is not about loudness, but about depth—the ability of a fragrance to reveal itself slowly, to persist, and to remain memorable long after the first encounter. The collection invites wearers into a more immersive relationship with scent, where heritage and modernity coexist in a single, powerful trail.
