What a delight to return to Dallas this spring for the third edition of Whitewaller Dallas. It is also with great excitement that we present this issue with guest editor Cindy Rachofsky. Several years ago I had the pleasure of visiting The Rachofsky House and interviewing Howard and Cindy Rachofsky for Whitewall. We discussed then their incredible collection and unparalleled commitment to philanthropy through the annual TWO x TWO fundraiser, benefitting amfAR and the Dallas Museum of Art. There is no doubt that Cindy is a pillar of the community, and it is a true honor to have her in our pages.
In the issue you’ll also find details on the 10th Dallas Art Fair, under a new leadership of Brandon Kennedy and Kelly Cornell, representing a focus on the future. Around the fair are several major events this spring, like the MTV RE:DEFINE gala hosted by The Goss-Michael Foundation, the Nasher Prize Gala celebrating the 2018 laureate, Theaster Gates, and the Soluna Music and Arts Festival later in May.

In our “Up Close” section, we speak with the designer and artist Harry Nuriev, whose work is currently on view at Dallas Contemporary; the always-hip Nick Wooster, the men’s fashion director at Forty Five Ten; our favorite influencer to follow and Dallas native, Tina Craig; and collectors Derek and Christen Wilson. We’ve got a great group of Insiders sharing their favorite spots around town for food, drink, and culture, including Frank Elbaz, Jen Ray, Kristen Cole, Nancy Rogers, Johnny Pardee, John Runyon, Capera Ryan, and Gillian Friedman. Cross-check their suggestions with our hotel, restaurant, shopping, and bar listings—while looking out for what we recommend, under “Whitewaller recommends.”
Dallas continues to be a favorite of the fair circuit, and we can’t wait to see what it brings this time around.
