Lincoln Symphonizes the Senses with Its Latest Corsair

Lincoln's latest offering combines tech and comfort for new possibilities.

Lincoln unveils the Corsair 2023, focused on Wellness and BlueCruise

Lincoln’s latest Corsair model joins the automobile maker’s lineup with a hybrid electric SUV filled with function, comfort, and style. Compact yet spacious, connected and smooth, the car’s interior and exterior were expertly designed to soothe all senses, providing a comfortable sanctuary for the road.

Inspired by a horizon view, the Corsair’s interior features handcrafted materials, high-tech elements, and interconnected details that accentuate the space. Aimed to activate and balance the senses, an array of materials, sounds, and stimulating touches bring relaxation to the forefront.

At first, symphonic chimes recorded by distinguished members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra play to alert the driver of everything they keep in mind while on the road—from an open door or gas cap to an unlatched seat belt. Beyond the calming chimes, seats can be adjusted up to 24 different ways, and offer massage, heating, and cooling settings; Perfect Position caters to minimizing stress on the shoulders and neck.

Active Motion moves beyond comfort by offering drive and front passenger-catered calmness, featuring a rolling-pattern massage that reduces muscle fatigue, pains, and aches to stimulate blood vessels in the lower back and legs. And with Auto Air Refresh, an air monitoring and filtration system ensures an odor filter is activated, removing atmospheric dust, tobacco smoke, smog, allergens, and more.

Furthermore, Corsai’s functions welcome highly-anticipated offerings beyond solace, starting with BlueCruise 1.2—Lincoln’s skillful take on hands-free driving. As the first vehicle in the segment to get advanced, the 2023 Corsair now showcases hands-free ADAS capabilities for highway driving, now with lane change assist, predictive speed assist, in-lane repositioning, and intersection assist 2.0.

Through its lane-changing assistance, the car aids drivers in moving through traffic on a freeway with more confidence; with predictive speed assistance, the Corsair automatically makes a smooth speed adjustment and notification when drivers approach a curve; through in-lane repositioning, the car subtly shifts away from vehicles in adjacent lanes; and with intersection assistance, clients can avoid collisions with pedestrians while turning, emphasized by the Corsair’s features that monitor blind spots and alert the driver with a light on the side view mirror. With this new model, Lincoln offers an accessible SUV centered on well-being and the space that embraces and surrounds its latest model.

“The space that surrounds you has an immense effect on your overall mood, temperament and how you feel,” said Kemal Curic, Global Design Director of Lincoln. “Crafting a space that goes beyond traditional—one that is a serene sanctuary, elevates the senses and impacts the client’s mood daily—shows our job as designers is much more powerful than just designing cars.”
