Louis Vuitton celebrated its “Objets Nomades” collection of travel-inspired objects, created in collaboration with international designers, with a cocktail reception at the Louis Vuitton Miami Design District store. Guests from the art, design, entertainment, and fashion worlds, including Anthony Ledru, Marcel Wanders, Patricia Urquiola, Aurel Aebi, Philip Levine, Lisa Marie Fernandez, Laure Dubreuil, Nadja Swarovski, Andres Fanjul, and Laura de Gunzburg, were the first to see the collection of foldable furniture and travel accessories.
To keep up with the tradition of offering innovative designs, Louis Vuitton has collaborated with some of the most creative designers working today including: Maarten Baas, the Campana Brothers, Barber and Osgerby, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Atelier Oï, Nendo, Gwenaël Nicolas, Raw Edges, and Wanders. “Objets Nomades” was first presented during Design Miami in 2012, and pays homage to the house’s special orders of the past, such as the iconic Bed Trunk or Wardrobe Trunk. Debuting as a world exclusive at the event, was a brand new Lounge Chair created by Dutch designer Wanders including a turquoise “Ocean Drive” inspired version that honors Miami’s architectural heritage.
