Louis Vuitton launched a new innovative wristwatch targeted for travel this week, the Tambour Horizon. The connected timepiece combines the intelligence of a smartwatch with the style of Louis Vuitton’s iconic Tambour design.
Dreamed up with the contemporary traveler in mind, the Tambour Horizon itself is international, designed in Paris, its case created in Paris, and utilizing the technology of Silicon Valley. Louis Vuitton worked closely with Google and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., to bring them the watch to life.

Measuring just 42mm, the Tambour Horizon features exclusive functions like “My Flight” and “City Guide.” The first keeps track of the user’s travel times, terminal, gate information, reports of delays, the number of hours remaining before landing, etc. “City Guide” offers the wearer the best spots and sights—top restaurants, hotels, historical landmarks, and other attractions in real time.
