As we are well aware this week a never ending list of events is to take place in Miami Beach. Here is a time efficient selection of what you should really not miss.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28

THE NEW MUSEUM HONORS ITS 2018 TRIENNIAL CURATORS
This private event is honoring the New Museum’s 2018 Triennial curators—Gary Carrion-Murayari and Alex Gartenfeld. Since its inception in 2008, the museum’s triennial has gained widespread recognition for its fresh and international take on contemporary art, even rivaling with that of The Whitney.

DESIGN MIAMI/ WELCOME COCKTAIL
Design Miami/ will be hosting a celebratory cocktail on November 28 to welcome visitors, exhibitors, and collectors and kick off the week’s fair festivities.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29

ART BASEL IN MIAMI BEACH 2016 VIP WELCOME RECEPTION
This sought-after welcome reception takes place on Tuesday, November 29 within the fair’s Public sector, and is open to First Choice VIP card holders or alternatively to those holding an invitation.

DIOR LADY ART
The Dior Lady Art project will launch in Miami at Dior’s boutique in the Design District. The collaboration will see seven artists—Jason Martin, Ian Davenport, Mat Collishaw, Matthew Porter, Daniel Gordon, Chris Martin, and Marc Quinn—showcase their own creative interpretation of the mythical Lady Dior bag in a site-specific installation.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30

DESIGN MIAMI/ X MAISON KITSUNÉ COLLABORATION COCKTAILS
Join creative director Gildas Loaëc and Design Miami/ chief creative officer Rodman Primack for champagne and live entertainment in celebration of the limited edition capsule collection designed for the 12th edition of Design Miami. Entertainment will be provided by a renowned Maison Kitsuné DJ and champagne will be generously provided by Perrier-Jouët.

UNVEILING CELEBRATION OF MIAMI MOUNTAIN
The Bass’s newest acquired commission, Ugo Rondinone’s Miami Mountain, will be unveiled and celebrated with a reception in Collins Park. The museum’s director, Silvia Karman Cubiñá, and the artist will be present for remarks.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1

YOUNG COLLECTORS COCKTAILS AT PULSE
Young Collectors Council (YCC) Cocktail Party draws a crowd of fashionable art lovers for a night of music, performance, and celebration, while providing a platform for new collectors to connect with a vibrant community of exhibitors, artists, and curators in town for the fairs.

ABY ROSEN AND DOM PÉRIGNON’S ANNUAL ABMB DINNER AND AFTER-PARTY
Aby Rosen’s annual dinner during Art Basel in Miami Beach is one of the most coveted invites of the week. The late night after-party at the Wall Lounge with Dom Pérignon has seen attendees like Kanye West, Steven Tyler, Naomi Campbell, Luke Wilson, Lenny Kravitz, and other A-listers.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2

CIDADE MATARAZZO BOOK LAUNCH
Cidade Matarazzo and Groupe Allard invite you to celebrate the launch of their new book Creative Invasion in presence of the artists and curators at the PAMM Museum, which documents the exhibition “Made by…Feito Por Brasileiros”, that took place in São Paulo in the former Umberto Primo Hospital, known as Hospital Matarazzo. It will include site-specific works by Kenny Scharf, Vik Muniz, Tunga, Gary Simmons, Joana Vasconcelos, Xavier Veilhan, and many more.

FAENA FORUM: AN INTIMATE PERFORMANCE BY MADONNA DURING ART BASEL TO BENEFIT RAISING MALAWI
The new Faena Forum will be hosting an evening of music, art, and mischief with appearances from Sean Penn, Chris Rock, Ariana Grande, and an exclusive performance by Madonna. The event will benefit Raising Malawi, the non-profit organization founded by Madonna, dedicated to the health and education of Malawian children.

UNVEILING OF THE OCEANA BAL HARBOUR ART COLLECTION FEATURING JEFF KOONS
Eduardo Costantini’s Oceana Bal Harbour, the artful residences rising in the elite Bal Harbour neighborhood, will be unveiling its museum-worthy art collection, including the multimillion dollar sculptures Seated Ballerina and Pluto and Proserpina by Jeff Koons, which will be viewable from the animated Collins Avenue.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3

SATURDAY BRUNCH DURING MIAMI ART WEEK AT THE SAGAMORE
Keeping with tradition, The Sagamore will host its 15th Annual Saturday Brunch during Miami Art Week. Sponsored by BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Marsh & McLennan Agency, and Unity Jets, the brunch includes live dance performances, culture, and art, including the work of six female street artists painting on the hotels’ walls, the dancers, and canvas, and private shows by internationally known classical pianist Ji.

EXHIBITION LECTURE- HANK WILLIS THOMAS: QUESTION BRIDGE IN CONTEXT
Artist Hank Willis Thomas uses photo-based imagery to address issues of race and identity through the vernacular of advertising and popular culture. In this art talk, he will discuss his work in relation to “Question Bridge: Black Males,” a collaborative transmedia project he developed with other artists, that is on view at The Norton through December 18.
