In response to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, brands are launching new digital initiatives to keep its supporters creative and connected during extended time spent at home. On this thread, Alexander McQueen announced the start of its “McQueen Creators” project.
Released on the @AlexanderMcQueen Instagram each week is a new installation of “McQueen Creators,” inviting followers to reinterpret their favorite ideas from a set of images and engage in creative conversations. Last week for its first series, the brand found inspiration in its “Roses” installation at its Old Bond Street location, which received thousands of responses from creatives worldwide.
This week, the brand invites the virtual community to craft 3-D flowers using any materials they have on hand. Accompanying the challenge is a series of inspiration photos from the Alexander McQueen archives. Along with sharing new prompts and digital tutorials regularly, the house plans to post creations on its page that tag its handle and the #McQueenCreators hashtag.
