Miami Fête: Bombay Sapphire’s Artisan Series, The Hole Hosts Young Thug, and More

While all good things must come to an end, we know we’ll still be thinking about these events from Miami Art Week well into the new year.

Last Tuesday, Maison de la Luz and UNTITLED, Art Fair Miami Beach presented an exclusive sunset cocktail hosted by Studio Shamshiri’s Pamela Shamshiri and Ace Hotel Group’s Brad Wilson. At the reception, guests including Valentine Uhovski, Aric Chen, and Roberto Behar enjoyed oceanfront views while sipping cocktails (courtesy of Quixotic Projects) and enjoying music by New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

At Nautilus Hotel on Thursday, Vik Muniz, Jason Pomeranc, and Galeria Nara Roesler hosted the event Manhattan to Miami in celebration of Art Week. Attendees were given the opportunity to view Muniz’s work on view in the hotel (including pieces like Metachrome: Homage to the Square: Glow, after Joseph Albers, and Gordian Puzzles: The School of Athens, after Raphael) where cocktails creations were provided by Zunte Mezcal.

Also last Thursday, Chrome Hearts invited guests to their boutique in the Miami Design District to preview their new collaboration with Style Saves. Hosted by Style Saves founder, Rachael Russel Saiger, along with Laurie Stark and Isabela Grutman, guests like Penelope Cruz and Kaisser Maaka attended to show support. Featuring a t-shirt designed by artist Matt Digiacomo, the brand will donate 100% of the collaboration’s proceeds to benefit students in the community.

Friday night at Villa Casa Casuarina, formerly known as the Versace Mansion, Bombay Sapphire held its 9 annual Artisan Series finale party in collaboration with Artsy. Hosted by actress Tessa Thompson, the evening honored artist Erik Nieminen as the grand finale winner of this year’s Artisan Series. Celebrating alongside Nieminen were guests like Laura Harrier, Sasha Lane, Brendan Fallis, Brittney Taylor, Sarah BahBah, Chloe Wise, and Devon Windsor, who imbibed tasty Bombay Sapphire cocktails before dancing the night away to a DJ set by Sofi Tukker.

Meanwhile at Nautilus Hotel, The Hole gallery partnered with Lyft for an evening of poolside fun at the Make By The Ocean popup. The event featured appearances by Whilhelmina Models and Young Thug, who performed live on a stage designed by Adam Parker Smith. Guests in attendance included Jasmine Blanford, Brendan Fallis, Guillaume Viau, and Alexa Ferrer.
