Last night in New York, MILK celebrated its 20th anniversary, and 20-year partnership with renowned photographer Michel Comte. Held at MILK gallery on West 15th Street, the hashtag of the night was #ComtexMilk, and for a very fashionable crowd the champagne flowed and rock music blared on loop.
The anniversary exhibition at the gallery features more than 70 works and a film from Comte’s 35-year career, showcasing a range of material, from his famous fashion portraits to his “Light” series. Comte, one of the first photographers to shoot at MILK studios, was originally approached by the founder and creative director Mazdack Rassi in 1996, and has worked with them ever since.

Along with the exhibition, a first edition photographic catalogue has been published that includes a forward written by Comte and Rassi, as well as interviews between Bobby Woods and Comte.

The show runs through December 22.
