MoMA Design Store’s Andy Warhol Skate Decks

By Whitewall

December 8, 2015

On Wednesday, December 2, The MoMA Design Store held an event at the Delano in Miami that was part party, part pop-up shop. On sale (and being toasted with cocktails by Absolut) were skate decks featuring work by Warhol, made in collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. An installation in the lobby of the hotel, and in the pool-side cabanas out back showed off skate decks covered in Campbell’s soup cans, Marilyn Monroe’s mug, and images of the artist himself. Guests like Emmanuel Plat, Ruth Shapiro, and Gaia Matisse enjoyed music by DJs Mia Moretti and Lola Langusta.
