This year’s 25th iteration of the amfAR Gala Cannes fundraiser for AIDS research features an auction presented by Paddle8. The online auction with Paddle8 includes works by artists like Sterling Ruby, Andre Butzer, Rita Ackerman, and Ai Weiwei.
Twenty-five honorary chairwomen, including Katy Perry, Scarlett Johansson, and Kate Hudson, have come together to host this year’s highly anticipated event. The gala, which is sponsored by Chopard, Bold Films, and Pernod Ricard, will feature a collaborative performance by Shaggy and Sting, as well as other surprise guest performances still to be announced. The evening will also include a fashion show curated by longtime amfAR supporter, Carine Roitfeld.

In addition to being one of the most star-studded events of the Cannes Film Festival, the amfAR Gala Cannes has generated over $210 million towards life-saving AIDS research throughout its years. The sale on Paddle8, now open for bidding, will reach its peak on May 17 during the gala, which is to be held at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.
